Let's be clear here. Purchasing steam accounts is illegal. It is against the EULA to sell Steam Accounts. Also purchaseing CAL and CEVO accounts are illegal. Nothing protects users who purchase steam accounts. Paypal and E-bay will not help you if you purchase a steam id that later gets jacked by the guy that stole the account to being with.

Unlike role playing video games purchasing the steam id of a person with a lower steam account with CAL or CEVO history doesn't grant you extra health or agility. So why do it? Some people believe that higher steam accounts are normally children or new players that have no skill and are deemed a "noob". To the gaming community lower steam id numbers mean that the person is older and may be more experienced. So people are doing this to either not be called a noob?

It's more then that. People are purchasing steam accounts particularly lower ones not becasue they contain more games from the person but for identity theft or to become a poser. Either way you have a person that is crook playing the game.

Scenario one is identity theft. If you are one of the unlucky ones then your steam account was jacked or hacked becasue your password was too easy or someone figured it out. What that means is someone can either create a new life with your information or pretend to be you and get your account banned by vac or use your admin in a server to get you banned for abusing powers.

Scenario two is the poser. In this case you are most likely a hacker and don't like to be called a hacker even though you are. So you try to get a low steam digit that way when you start toggling your skill on people would just think that hes not hacking its just a seasoned player with experience.

In both scenarios we have people that think they can gain respect by purchasing experience. This is a waste of money and time. Here is why. If your going to hack your way though CAL you won't get any money since their is no cash prize. If you are in cevo you can't claim a prize with fake info. In this case I mean if you create a fake account and use a prurchased steam dig. What will your excuse be for lieing about your name. Companies don't tend to sponsor people for trips to lans when they can't write it off using your real name. Believe it or not you are not going to get a plane ticket for your registered cevo real name if its "head shot" Also a bank won't accept a check for that name. Also homeland security might have an issue letting you on a plane with that name.

Here's an idea, just practice and play the game.
