North America vs Europe - Counter-Strike: Source
The biggest difference between North American and European teams is that Americans talk a lot more smack in and outside the game, and I mean a lot more! European teams seem to take the game a little bit more seriously with the obvious exclusion of cheaters. Despite the fact that shit talk is considered a negative thing, I've found it to actually make the game and players more competitive. Nothing better than fragging in rage!
Cheaters is the next difference. From my gaming experience, more people cheat in Europe than in North America. I know what you're thinking, "This dude just gets rolled and calls everyone a cheater." No sir, blatant cheaters are easy to single out, besides, I've been playing this game since beta, like it or not, I have experience. I will also go ahead and confirm the stereotype, Germans in fact are cheaters. On a statistical note, I've played against many British and German teams and I only met cheaters when playing the Germans.
To wrap this up with a conclusion on skill level. North American has a higher average skill level. Top teams from both continents are amazing at this game and I'm not going to compare them because there isn't really any solid statistics that I could base my claims on, just opinion. However, thanks to CGS, we might soon see some good footage on American vs European matches! One thing I will comment on is the play style of top teams. American teams are a lot more aggressive than European teams; however, with CGS we will probably see the play style start dominantly lean towards aggressive.
